Welcome to the Barn.

Our family farm and meat business is located in Princeville, Illinois (which is about 15 miles north of Peoria, IL).

My name is Brian Wieland. I have loved raising cattle ever since I was a young kid and involved in my local 4-H. After getting an agriculture degree at Illinois State University and in 1992, I married my high school sweetheart. We then moved away from the area for a couple of years.

But, in the early 2000s, we moved back to my childhood farm, and I wanted to restore the old barn that was then deteriorating and out of use.

My dream with this business was to take some of the original money made and put it back to the barn, hence the name.

In 2007, I purchased 10 cattle and the crazy adventure began. We started raising black angus cattle to sell as freezer beef to our friends, family, neighborhood, and community.

As we grow, we hope to remain true to our starting mission. We hope to always give a sense of appreciation for premium beef raised in a sustainable manner.

This year, we’ve expanded the “beef” part of our name to include a variety of meats.

We’ve teamed up with farmers in Illinois and Missouri to provide our customers with the option to purchase grass-fed beef, bison, pork, chicken, and seafood, all raised in the same sustainable manner as our own.

We’ll continue to offer our own high quality local beef, with the confidence that it is a nutritious and healthy option for your family. However, we also look forward to offering you more options for your family to get farm-fresh meats in addition to our own beef.

Ultimately, we care about each of our cattle, each of our customers, and overall, promoting a high quality product that can be enjoyed at a fair price.
